Background : Repatriated to Australia on S.S. Tamaroa as was Bob Sproull (2/5 Hygiene Section of A.A.S.C.). Jack and Bob met at the 55 Kilo Hospital camp run by Albert Coates. They were friends for the rest of Jack's life. Jean Williams and Bob still keep in touch, mostly by phone these days. And, as it has turned out, Bob Sproull is Ann Holland's (daughter of Mac Gregson) son-in-law's granddad.
