Background : Son of John Pallas. Brother of 1775 Private John Pallas killed in action 29/07/1916 with 22nd Battalion. Served in World War 1 as regimental number 1776. Enlisted 29/04/1915 as Private with 22nd Battalion, 2nd Reinforcement. Embarked Melbourne on H.M.A.T. A64 Demosthenes 16/07/1915 number 23/39/2. Gallipoli veteran. Evacuated to Malta, Egypt then Australia for discharge. Disembarked Australia on H.S. A11 Ascanius 01/09/1916. Awarded 1914-15 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal for World War 1. Repatriated to Australia on Circassia end of World War 2.
