Background : Son of Emma McKay. He added a couple of years to his age when he joined the Army. Raymond was unusual in having served in Syria, New Guinea and Borneo. He was sick when the unit left the Middle East so missed Java and by the time he had arrived back in Australia they had decided to reform the unit. Knew VX37978 L. Anderson (2/2 Pioneer).
