February 1943 Evacuated to 2/5 Australian General Hospital with skin disease. 22/07/1943 Disembarked Port Moresby, New Guinea and attached for 2 months to 2/2 Pioneer Battalion. September 1943 Attached to 2/4 Australian Field Ambulance. December 1943 Allocated role as Regimental Medical Officer. February 1944 Returned to Australia. February 1945 Reallocated to 110 Casualty Clearing Station, Tarakan, Borneo. September 1945 Returned to Australia. Worked at Heidelberg Military Hospital. Son born December 1943.
