1941-06-08 Men of the 2/2 Pioneer Battalion ("B" Company) at work near the Jewish village of Dan just across the Palestine- Syrian border. One arm of the Australian forces entered Syria through this village and the Pioneers had the task of making a track across the fields and over numerous small streams in this area. AWM id no. 008193
